Why Monthly Craft Subscriptions Are the Best Way to Discover Your Grandma Hobbies
Share
Grandma Hobbies are trending, and I'm here for it! A couple of week's ago, my daily news podcast did a feature on grandma hobbies. The Wall Street Journal featured a piece on Grandma Hobbies. Taylor Swift even listed out all of her grandma hobbies in her recent New Heights podcast feature with Travis and Jason Kelce.
I can't help but agree, Tay. Crafting, DIY, and anything else that can take us away from our tiny screens and into the creative world is therapeutic. Less doom scroll, more relax.
So, where to begin? I've asked myself this over and over again while trying to discover my own favorite grandma hobbies. Is it painting? Needlepoint? Crochet? The list goes on and on. Here are five reasons that a craft subscription kit could be your answer.
1) Affordability: While I adore needlepoint, I've been shocked to see the price of these little creations - especially for a beginner. Sure, it can be cheaper to buy craft supplies in bulk, but if I don’t end up liking it… well, that was a waste!
2) Proportioned Supplies: No more leftovers! I live in a small apartment and don't have space for unnecessary extras.
3) Variety: If you're anything like me, your hobbies and interests fluctuate. I love to trying new things, and my creativity shouldn't be capped at just one type of craft. A craft subscription delivers unique opportunities each month.
4) Consistency: Working with my hands (in other ways than clacking my keyboard) is therapeutic. My soul needs it. The consistency of of being off the screen and creating, day after day is truly unbeatable.
5) Community: There's something so delightful about a shared creative experience. And I think a craft subscription kit can do just that. Order a couple kits, invite your friends (maybe your book club?) over, pour some wine - and create!
