Meet the Maker: Audrey Bjerke

Tell us a bit about yourself!

My name is Audrey, I’m 23 years old and I’m from Dallas, TX. Creating has always been a part of my life. Every piece I make is layered with meaning. I’ve been fighting multiple rare diseases for years, and that fight has shaped both my perspective and my art. For me, creativity is alchemy — a language of resilience all on its own. Creativity is a balm for pain, and I've found it has a way of picking you up when nothing else can. The art that was started in the quiet of recovery is now reaching you — and that means everything.

What drew you to this particular craft or technique?

Working with clay is a meaningful art form to me. I love making something out of nothing — it’s like magic. It’s fun to hold so much possibility in your hands. It’s also fun to see how much joy my clay pieces bring to other people. I have truly loved watching my art find its way into homes and hearts everywhere. It is so special!

What makes this kit special or unique?

What makes this kit special is how personal it can become. Clay is so versatile — you can shape it into something playful, meaningful, or completely unexpected. My favorite part is that while everyone will be making the same piece for this kit, no two people will ever create the exact same thing. Each piece reflects your own hands, your own imagination, and your own story. That’s what I love most about this kit: it gives you the chance to step into the process I use and experience that special kind of transformation for yourself.

If you could be anywhere creating this kit, where would it be?

My favorite place in the world is a city called Redding in Northern California. There is a mountain called Mt. Shasta that I love to sit and watch. If I could be anywhere creating this kit, it would be there!
