How To Get Into a Cozy Fall Routine
Share
October is for slowing down—from the joy and buzz of summer. Or… maybe it’s for finally finishing The Summer I Turned Pretty and stepping away from the screen to actually create? (Admittedly, I binge-watched the entire series in about 2 weeks. Not my proudest moment, but I can’t say I wasn’t happy with how it wrapped up.)
Regardless of what your current TV obsession is, I think we can all agree: fall is a crafter’s best friend. Lighting a candle, sipping something warm, and settling into a project is one of those simple joys we all need more of.
Here are a few of my favorite ways to build a cozy fall routine:
1) Start a Warm Drink Ritual: If you’re anything like me, you’ve got your morning coffee ritual down pat—but what about evenings? Try winding down with a tea or spiced cider to mark the close of the day.
2) Make a Fall Playlist: Mine’s called Rom Com (think early 2000s vibes). It’s the perfect soundtrack for an evening of cozy creating (and maybe Parent Trap playing in the background?)!
3) Infuse Seasonal Scents: Pumpkin bread in the oven is my personal fall love language. It’s not just the taste—it’s the aroma that fills the whole house. Glorious.
4) Incorporate Cozy Textures: Time to swap out lightweight summer throws for cozy plaids and chunky knits. Instant atmosphere.
5) Wind Down With a Craft: Instead of endless scrolling, pick up a seasonal DIY. Our October craft launches October 16th! Until then, grab your Paint-by-Numbers and a mug of Sleepytime tea—it’s the perfect way to end a fall evening.
